Misconduct is inappropriate conduct, particularly by personnel of an institution or organization.  It currently has a connotation of sexual impropriety, but this is by no means an official or exlusive definition.  Misconduct can be just as easily physical, verbal, psychological, etc., and can include discrimnatory and retaliatory acts as well.
